Paul Vunak Seminar Las Vegas

JAY BALAJADA WITH PAUL VUNAK AND RICHARD LAMOUREAUX

Paul Vunak was in Las Vegas for the Martial Arts Super Show held at the Rio on 7/ 21~ 7/23 and had time to do a Seminar on his expolsive martial art of JKD/KALI. His seminar was hosted by Krav Maga instructor Donavin Britt and was held at his school on Sahara Ave. www.LasVegasKravMaga.com

Paul and I go way back to the mid 80’s. I was introduced to him through Dan Inosanto. I trained with Paul before and after his commission with Navy Seal Team Six. In the early 90’s I hosted seminars for Paul with Dion Ricardo in and around Chicago Il. Paul has always maintained a fighters apporach to combat and keeping it real is the heart of his PFS Philosophy. It was nice seeing him again, after so many years and I wish him, Tom Cruse and Harrinder the very best. For more information on future seminars and trainning camps go to www.fighting.net

Kali Crossing Into The WWE Through Dave Batista

The Filipino Martial Arts have crossed many lines, movies, football,  special law enforcement groups and the military. So by no surprise, why not the WWE. The individual bringing it to center ring, is none other than big Dave Batista. Batista is a body builder, actor, but best known for his time in the WWE. Dave is also a Filipino who has found an interest in Filipino Martial Arts and is working on fighting in the UFC. He currenty trains with Marrese Crump who is also a martial artist and actor. Dave is training different styles of  martial arts for the octagon but seems to have a passion for FMA. All I can say is good luck to him in his UFC interested and it is great that he is training and promoting the Kali.

The Bladed Hand FMA Documentary

THE BLADED HAND

The Bladed Hand is in it’s final stages of production before it is released. The premire is planned to be held in Manila in August of this year. Dan Inosanto, Diana Lee Inosanto, Remy Presas Jr and Ron Balicki are among some of the Instructors in the film. The documetary will cover many styles and systems of Kali, Eskrima and Arnis.  History, Technique and Culture will all be part of this documetary. The film was shoot here in the U.S. as while as the Phillipines.
